I am trying to make a rim tap to work on my snare. I have a dual trigger on a acoustic snare with a mesh head. I should be able to hit the rim and get a decent rim tap sound. It doesn't seem loud enough. Not sure what to do.

Hello. If you look at it, it makes a good sound when you click snare rim, but the Alessis Strike Pro se I have is so frustrating because it only happens once in a certain place when I stroke it in a snare rim click position. I put a click sound in the snare rim, so if I just hit the rim, it makes a good click sound. What's the problem..
are you having triggering issue? you could try tightening the lugs around the rim
